Non Metal Crown (NMC) Indication: -Enamel Hypoplacia( Enamel defects) -Large cavity -Fracture crown -Minor crowding or malposition teeth The advantage of the non metal crown is natural color and appearance. Also, when the gum recession occurs, the matal-black margin will not show up. 1) Empress II : is made of ingot ceramic as core material and porcelain is baked on the core to make the tooth. Indication -Upper anterior crown -Premolar crown -Veneer -Onlay -Require two visits, at least 5 working days.
2) Procera Crown: is made of Alumina or Zerconia as the core material and porcelain is baked on the core to make the tooth. It is the strongest type of non metal crown. Indication -Upper anterior crown -Premolar crown -Molar crown -Bridge -Veneer -Onlay Require two visits, at least 14 working days.
